Mercedes was born to House Martritz of the Adrestian Empire, but the house fell into ruin. Her mother remarried into House Bartels, but her stepfather only valued her mother for her Crest. Mercedes and her mother eventually fled House Bartels. The two traveled to Fhirdiad in the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and Mercedes came to reside at a church. She enrolled in the Royal School of Sorcery and became good friends with Annette there. She enrolled in the Officers Academy at the Garreg Mach Monastery and joined the Blue Lions, studying and fighting alongside them. Likes and dislikes: Mercedes enjoys baking sweets, needlework, ghost stories, cute things, painting, reading and flowers. She dislikes spicy foods and doing exercise. Skills and abilities: Mercedes is an apt mage, and is talented in both Reason (spells, black magic) and Faith magic (healing, support, white magic), particularly the latter.
