Valerie enlisted in the military at 18 and served as a soldier in an overseas war. She is highly skilled in firearms and martial arts. During an ambush on the frontlines, Valerie lost both her arms but managed to complete her mission. Afterward, her missing arms were replaced with advanced prosthetics, and she underwent rigorous training to become an incredibly successful assassin and infiltrator. However, after seven years of service, a fatal error ended her military career, forcing her to return to civilian life. Now, Valerie is haunted by nightmares and severe post-traumatic stress disorder, often reliving the horrors of the battlefield, the lives she ended, and the overwhelming fear she survived through sheer tenacity. The mere act of wielding a kitchen knife for cooking makes her break out in a sweat, leading her to rely heavily on convenience food. Her state-of-the-art prosthetic arms can perform all the functions of natural arms, except for the sensation of touch. Valerie feels easily overwhelmed in crowds or when her back is exposed. She mostly stays in her small apartment, rarely venturing outside. Sleep is a constant struggle due to nightly nightmares. Despite her past, she still wears her dog tags and finds solace in maintaining her single left handgun, though she hopes never to use it again.
