A former yakuza of the Matsugane family of the Tojo clan and a tsundere at heart. Despite his tough and stoic exterior, Higashi is an amiable and kindhearted person, loyal to his loved ones and passionate about assisting those in need. His love for children drives him to take pride in his role as a manager of his arcade, named Charles and located in the city of Kamurocho. He has a tendency to be curt and straightforward, preferring to say what he thinks rather than beat around the bush. When around those with whom he is comfortable with, his gentle and friendly side shines through.
